Ali Ashraf Darvishian was born in 1941, in Kermanshah, Iran. He was a Kurdish-Iranian story writer and scholar who taught in the Poverty stricken villages of Gilan-e-Gharb after teaching training in college. He later moved to Tehran and continued his studies in Persian literature. ALI.jpgSome of the books he wrote were "Abshooran", "Salhay-e-Abri", and "Farhang-e-Afsanehay-e Irani". Ali is also known for being the Charles Dickens of Iran.
