"Christianity started out in Palestine as a fellowship; it moved to Greece and became a philosophy; it moved to Italy and became an institution; it moved to Europe and became a culture; it came to America and became an enterprise."(http://www.religioustolerance.org/christ.htm)
Christianity is followed by the holy bible which is the "Word of God". About 75% of American adults would consider themselves to be a Christian.

The Holy Bible refers to respective collections of religous writings of Judaism and of Christianity. The exact compositions of the bible is dependent on the religious traditions of specific denominations.

Christians believe that Jesus was the holy son of God and the Messiah as mentioned in the old testament.

Christians share the Jewish belief that a prophet is a person who speaks to people about whatever God told them to others.

Christians recognize that anyone they consider prophetic is still human and therefore is imperfect and will make wrong decisions from time to time. Christians believe these characteristics are independent of the message God has given the prophets.

Christianity is the worlds largest religion. It is a monotheistic religion.

"As time progressed, Christianity divided into three major branches. The **Roman Catholic** branch of Christianity is the successor of the church established in Rome soon after Christ's death. It traces its spiritual history to the early disciples of Jesus. The Pope, or spiritual leader, traces his office's lineage back to St. Peter, the first Pope, one of Jesus' disciples. Roman Catholicism was originally predominately practiced in Ireland, Poland, France and Spain". Catholicism is a branch that believes in what Christians believe but they have saints who they pray to so that a totally different thing.
Christianity was the original religion and it came before the Catholic faith. It still goes on today and its still very powerful.

Christianity, the most largest religion in the world. It is the belief in one God how is the ruler of heaven. The oppisite of Heaven is Hell. The religion makes it so Heaven is peaceful and makes you want to go to and hell is the oppisite of that. There are many sects of Christianity including Catholicism, Lutheran, Roman-Catholic and Greek Orthodox. Although the Pope who lives in Vatican City (Rome) is the primary ruler of the Roman-Catholic church, many sects of Christianity worship him.
