Cultural Revolution-

The Cultural Revolution took place from 1980 to 1987 it followed the 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran. The Revolution had a huge impact on many of the students. Universities were closed for two years and when it reopened many books were banned and innumerable student's and professors were purged . As a result of the Revolution, 700 university professors from Iran's academic institutions were expelled. All this was done very quick and in a very short preiod. A lot of violence took place in the universities because most of the higher education were dominated by the leftistpeople who opposed Ayatollah Khomeini's theocratic rule.

There have been many other cultural revolutions in the history of the world, including the cultural revolution of China by Mao Zedong.

The Cultural Revolution started by the Chinese Communist Party head man Mao Zendong during
his last decade of being in charged. Mao through Chinese cities into turmoil so that he can change
