Hakeem Olajuwon is a retired hall of fame basketball player who played in the NBA. He is one of the top 50 greatest players to ever play the game. Hakeem, who came to the US from Nigeria, started playing basketball at the age of 15. Before playing the sport of basketball, he played soccer and team handball. It was due to his large frame that the coach persuaded him to play basketball. He would get better at the sport very quickly and soon get scholarships to play for some colleges.
Hakeem would play for the University of Houston and later on become the #1 draft pick to be picked by the Houston Rockets. His effects on the team were immediate and the team's previous years record of 29-53 to 48-34 during his rookie year. He played with another promising prospect named Ralph Sampson, who was 7 feet 4 inches, and together they were known as the "Twin Towers."

These days Hakeem is known for his most famous move, which was created by him, known as the dream shake. In the dream shake he would use his body control and pivot foot in order to fool(shake) his opponent in a way that he wouldn't be able to play defense. Using this move he would be almost unstoppable in the post. Worthy opponents such as David Robinson, Shaq, Charles Barkley and many more have all talked about the devastation of this move.

I think Hakeem Olajuwon is one of the Best centers ever to play basketball if not the best he was able to do pretty much everything. He was able shoot 3-pointers, he had a mid-range jumper, he could dribble really good for a big man and he had his famous move the dream shake. His nickname was Hakeem "The Dream"
