Iran is an Islamic republic under Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader of the revolution and founder of the Islamic Republic.

In Persepolis, after the Islamic Revolution, girls are obligated to wear the veil at school. Bilingual schools are now all closed down because they supposedly represented Capitalism.

e monarchy, the Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Iran became an Islamic republic. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi had to escape Iran to Egypt in January 16, 1979. Ayatollah Khomeini then returned back to Iran in February 1, 1979 after living in exile in Iraq, and France.

The Iranian Revolution, which is also known as the Islamic Revolution, was the Revolution that transformed Iran. It had turned Iran into an Islamic republic, instead of keeping it a monarchy. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini was the leader of the revolution, and he created the Islamic Republic. It was called the third great revolution in history, since it had affected Iran in many ways, such as getting rid of other influences, and making it mainly an Islamic area.

The Islamic revolution was also known as the Iranian revolution. Mohammed was an Islamic leader who tried to take over Iran. Many people didn't like him because of the way he was ruling the country with non-religious beliefs.
