Stevie Wonder is an American singer and songwriter. He plays keyboard instruments as well as drums and harmonica.

Stevie Wonder was born on May 13, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. He lost his sight because he was placed in a incubator and given to much oxygen. His mother was afraid to let him out she she kept him home a lot, and because of that he had more time to practice. At young ages he learned to play various instruments and participated in playing in the local churches.

The "classic period" of Stevie Wonder's output would have to be 1972-1976, as most would agree.

You can't go wrong with any of these albums:

Music of My Mind

Talking Book

Fulfillingness' First Finale

Songs in the Key of Life

Stevie was very talented and is recognized as one of the best songwriters of all time. He was also the first to have a number one hit at the age of 13.

Like most music from the west Stevie Wonder's music was not allowed to be played in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. To listen to his music people like Marjane would go have to buy it illegally.

"People hand in hand
Have I lived to see the milk and honey land ?
Where hate's a dream and love forever stands
Or is this a vision in my mind ?"

Visions, 1973
